Meet Darryl! Our Tech‑loving, part‑time chef, Sales Solutions Specialist. From the moment Darryl wrote his first line of code, he had a feeling technology would shape his future. That early fascination with how things worked eventually led him into a career centered on solving problems, supporting people and designing smarter ways of working.
“I fell in love with tech and computers learning to program in BASIC, which led to learning to code in many other languages, which led to CAD/CAM programming, but ultimately led to a career in technology consulting.”
Today, Darryl is a Citrix Sales Solutions Specialist based in Sydney, working closely with partners and customers across the ANZ region. His role is all about helping organisations simplify, secure and modernise the way they work, and he does that by ensuring they’re empowered to get the most out of their Citrix environments.
“I earn trust by consistently putting customers first. In my role as a Sales Solutions Specialist, I help customers and partners design and adopt Citrix solutions that drive secure, reliable, and productive ways of working. By aligning Citrix platform capabilities to business outcomes, I enable customers to solve complex challenges and maximise their return on investment.”
It’s a role that blends technical insight with teamwork, and for Darryl, the best days are when everyone is working towards the same goal.
“I enjoy my work most when there’s a shared sense of purpose, solving real problems for customers in a way that’s right for them over the long term.”
That sense of collaboration extends deeply into the CXANZ team and culture, something he says makes coming to work genuinely rewarding.
“What really stands out is the way people work together. There’s a diverse range of experience, a strong customer- and partner-first mindset, and a genuine willingness to help each other get things done.”
When it comes to navigating today’s rapidly shifting landscape, Darryl’s advice is grounded in clarity. With technology, and especially AI, evolving faster than ever, he emphasises the importance of staying adaptable and focusing on what truly matters.
“My advice is simple: keep security and resilience at the core of everything you do. Simplify wherever possible, and design for a world where people can work securely from anywhere. Change is accelerating, particularly with AI introducing new risks and opportunities which is why choosing flexible, modern workspaces and tools matters more than ever.”
Unsurprisingly, Darryl sees change not as something to fear, but something to embrace, a mindset perfectly captured in one of his favourite quotes.

And when he’s not helping customers and partners transform the way they work, you’ll probably find him in a different kind of creative flow, in the kitchen!.
“Outside of work, I love to cook. For me, cooking and IT have a lot in common, they’re both about people. Cooking brings people together around a shared meal, just as IT solutions connect businesses and customers to collaborate and achieve meaningful outcomes.”
